Hen Wreaks Havoc in Fox House
I haven't finished. She said, after being interrupted again. And again.
It’s not clear what the feedback loops are. Do the mainstream media broadcast discussions of issues that the editors think are crucial policy matters, and receive public feedback in the form of polls, which they then disseminate? Are we all messily but honestly moving toward a manufactured consensus that is at least partially true? Or is it the case that the Republicans and their Fox believe that if a lie is stated “often enough, it becomes an article of belief, a dogma, and men will die for it” - George Gissing, The Crown of Life, 1869.
With any lens you please, Vice President Kamala Harris permitted no false representations of the GOP kind in her half-hour interrogation from Fox Bret Baier, who repeatedly talked over her, interrupted her, and presented questions so unconnected to reality that Harris said "I would like that we would have a conversation that is grounded in the full assessment of the facts.”
Meanwhile, Trump has spoken at a George town hall of female Trump supporters about using the military to deal with the marxists, communists, and fascists, who are all Democrats.
The Fox network may not have an inclination to broadcast this Hitlerian declaration, but Harris said "This is a democracy. And in a democracy, the president of the United States should be willing to be able to handle criticism without saying he would lock people up for doing it."
As much of my family were murdered by the military of the Third Reich, I need to hear strong rebuttals of unlawful threats from a potential next president.
Harris went into the Fox’s den and took no crap. I don’t know what any GOP viewers might think. I think I saw courage, integrity, tenacity, and a well-trained prosecutor who won’t be bullied.
Let’s see what the polls say next.
Harris did exceptionally well in her venture into the fox’s den, responding to Baier’s pointedly biased questioning with strength and facts. I doubt any of the cult true believers watching will be swayed, saying that she didn’t respond to the questions (in the way Baier would have preferred), but for those traditional conservatives and non-MAGA Republicans watching or anyone undecided (I doubt the few remaining intake much news and information and likely don’t watch Fox News) that have doubts about Trump’s mental and physical state, Harris made a strong case for her candidacy and election.
I just watched this. I am so impressed with her, how she handles these incredibly rude, obnoxious men who think they can just run over her. Courage, integrity, tenacity indeed! Go Kamala!
